Cadence, Inc.’s Sturgeon Bay, WI facility hosted the Door County, WI Economic Development Corporation’s “Buy Local” networking event. The event focused on networking and helping familiarize the Door County business community and public with products that can be purchased locally. While products made in the Sturgeon Bay facility cannot truly be purchased locally, most residents encounter these WI-made products on a daily basis and do not even know it.
“Although we do not sell locally, we feel that this event brought great awareness to our new facility and can be used as a recruitment tool down the road,” stated Sandy Sekadlo, VP of Manufacturing for Cadence WI. “The more people that know about us, the better, in terms of future employment and growth of our WI operations. Additionally, our products are used in various applications that most people can relate to such as the automotive and medical device industries.”
More than 60 guests attended the event, including State Representative Joel Kitchens and Mayor of Sturgeon Bay, Thad Birmingham.
